Looks like Buffalo's beat all the other companies by shipping the world's first external hard drive with USB 3.0 connectivity. The HD-HU3 series can be plugged into the Buffalo-made NEC IFC-PCIE2U3 2-port PCI Expressx1 host controller, costing about $60, which will come out at the end of the month alongside the hard drive.
The 1TB and 1.5TB hard drives will cost you roughly $225 and $284 respectively, plus a larger 2TB version for $523. Decent prices for the speed that the newer ports and cables will be giving you. Plus, it looks nice, curvy and shiny!
