- Kingston DataTraveller 410 USB flash drive gets speed boost
The DataTraveller 410 will now provide 20Mbps read/write speed. The drive will be made available in varying capacities up to 32GB. It also features password protection that promises to protect the data from unauthorized access.
“Power users, enterprise customers and everyday consumers have wanted the ability to store and move large files around faster as USB Flash drives have become more prevalent in everyday use,” said Andrew Ewing, USB business manager, Kingston. “Based on customer feedback, we developed the DataTraveler 410 with higher data transfer rates and security in mind as well as a terrific price point.”
The boosted read/write speed of the DataTraveller 410 is said to render the drive ideal to store high-definition photos, large documents, presentations, music, videos and other data. The SecureTraveler software allows users to create a password-protected area called the ‘Privacy Zone’ within the drive.
The DataTraveller 410 measures 65.76mm x 17.98mm x 10.7mm and is available in various colors. The drive is available in various designs including cap, retractable body and swivel. Moreover, it is compatible with Windows, Mac as well as Linux operating systems.
The Kingston drive is backed by a five year warranty and 24/7 tech support. The DataTraveller 410 will be made available in 4GB, 8GB, 16GB and 32GB capacities at a price of $26 (approx. Rs. 1,250), $46 (approx. Rs. 2,212), $84 (approx. Rs. 4,040) and $134 (approx. Rs. 6,442) respectively.
