- Samsung Moment Android Smartphone Coming to Sprint
Samsung and Sprint today announced the upcoming availability of Samsung Moment, Samsung's first device to use the Google Android mobile operating system.
Powered by a super-fast 800 MHz processor, the Moment features a 3.2-inch AMOLED touchscreen, 3.2 megapixel camera with flash, autofocus and video recording, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, stereo Bluetooth 2.0, up to 32GB of expandable microSD memory and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The device also comes with built-in Google mobile services, such as Search, Maps, Gmail and YouTube, as well as other apps available on the Android Market.
Starting November 1st, customers can purchase the Samsung Moment in Sprint retail stores and online for the price of $179.99 with a 2-year contract after $100 mail-in rebate and $50 instant savings. Pre-registrations for the phone start today on sprint.com/moment.
